The Grey’s premiere has been pushed to October, though, so could that be the case here?

With the way things ended in Grey’s Anatomy Season 19, we need to check in at Grey Sloan Memorial now. When is Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 premiering on ABC?

We need to see what comes next at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Lives are on the line, and one of those is the Chief of Surgery. Teddy Altman collapsed in the middle of performing surgery, and it’s going to be a sure sign to make sure you see a dentist if you have a toothache! Don’t put tooth pain off.

There is some bad news. Despite it being September and the start of fall TV, we won’t get to see Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 premiere. There have been times that the Grey’s premiere has been pushed to October, though, so could that be the case here?

When will Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 premiere on ABC?

It’s bad news from this point. There is not going to be a Grey’s premiere in 2023 at all. Not in October, not even in November like the pandemic year.

When the writers went on strike in May, ABC had a feeling that the fall schedule wouldn’t happen. Instead of planning for a normal fall and having to rework things, ABC immediately opted for a strike-proof fall.

It paid off as in July the actors also went on strike. All networks had to change plans if they didn’t set a strike-proof fall. ABC didn’t have to do anything, although there have been some changes to the schedule to move shows around to suit the audience better. The Golden Bachelor is much better airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT instead of 10 p.m. ET/PT.

It means Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 won’t premiere until January 2024 at the earliest. Will that actually happen? That one remains to be seen as it depends on how long the current strike action takes.
