The untitled series, announced by Scout Productions on Aug. 14, is described as “the continuation” of the family’s story following Chrisley Knows Best, which was canceled in 2022 after Todd and Julie were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison for conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States and tax fraud.

In a press release, Rob Eric, Scout Productions’ chief creative officer, said that the Chrisleys are “ready to bring their signature heart and quirk back to the fans.”

Meanwhile, Todd and Julie’s daughter Savannah Chrisley explained, “The time was right to share our story and we couldn’t have found better partners in Scout Productions. They’re [sic] ability to balance popular culture and empathy through authentic storytelling is unrivaled and I know they’re going to find the right home for this next chapter of our lives,” adding, “We’re so happy to be back.”

Before their TV comeback, here is everything we know so far about the Chrisley family’s new series.

When will the Chrisleys new TV series air?

No premiere date has been announced since the series is currently in development.

How to watch the Chrisleys new TV series

While Chrisley Knows Best aired on USA Network, it has not yet been revealed which network (or streamer) will be home to the new untitled series.

What is the Chrisley family’s new series about?

With Todd and Julie in jail, the series will spotlight the family’s “new realities.” According to Scout Productions, the docuseries will show the Chrisleys “as they truly are—just as dynamically entertaining and naturally hilarious as ever, but not shying away from authentic drama and grit that makes them just as relatable as ever.”

Discussing her family’s new show on her podcast, Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, in 2023, Savannah said, “We’re going to touch on where we’re at today, Mom and Dad being gone, how we’re coping with it, how we get through it,” in addition to “having two kids and all of us stepping in to make sure that they have what they need emotionally, psychologically, physically, all the things, I feel like there’s a level of humor to it as well.”

Why did Todd and Julie Chrisley go to jail?

Todd and Julie were found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022. “Over the course of a decade, the defendants defrauded banks out of tens of millions of dollars while evading payment of their federal income taxes,” U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan said in a statement after the couple’s sentencing. “Their lengthy sentences reflect the magnitude of their criminal scheme and should serve as a warning to others tempted to exploit our nation’s community banking system for unlawful personal gain.”
