Julie Chrisley has now been behind bars for 10 months, and she’s starting to rethink her marriage, a new report claims. The “Chrisley Knows Best” star blames her husband, Todd Chrisley, for landing them both in prison and there are rumblings that she’ll divorce him, a source told DailyMail.com. Todd, the source said, convinced his wife of 27 years that they would “never go to jail.”

“Julie’s friends are certain that she will eventually divorce Todd for convincing her to go along with his foolproof plan that landed them in prison,” a source said.

Amid the report, Todd Chrisley’s lawyer, Jay Surgent, denied that the reality TV couple is splitting.

“I can assure you that in no way are Todd and Julie moving toward divorce,” the attorney told RadarOnline. “In fact, I can confirm that Julie is more in love with Todd today than ever. She makes statements like she wishes she could just be there to make sure he is eating or wishes she could just check on him and make sure he is OK.’

He continued: “In the same regard, Todd is madly in love with Julie. His first questions on each call are about her and her wellbeing.”

On Nov. 21, 2022, Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion while his wife, Julie Chrisley, was sentenced to seven years in prison for the same crimes; both also got another 16 months of probation. Over the summer of 2022, the “Chrisley Knows Best” stars were found guilty of the financial crimes in federal court after prosecutors claimed the reality TV couple took out $30 million in fraudulent bank loans to fund their extravagant lifestyle. They were also accused of hiding their reality TV earnings so they wouldn’t have to pay taxes on it.

They surrendered to authorities in January 2023 and began serving out their sentences.

In the fall, Julie and Todd saw their sentences reduced: She’ll now serve five and a half years in Federal Medical Center Lexington in Kentucky while he’ll serve out 10 years in a federal prison in Florida.

While in prison, Todd Chrisley has faced “gross negligence and such total disregard for human life and decency from both the staff and just the entire corrections system,” his attorney told TMZ in October 2023.

The realty TV star now feels “massively betrayed by the US government,” a source said.

“He is hopeless and completely broken,” the source added. “He spends his days in isolation because a lot of the prisoners don’t like him due to the fact he has been blabbing about the prison conditions. Todd is preaching to anyone who will listen. But he is only making things worse for himself. Regardless of what he does, he is still stuck in jail for the next decade.”

Although he certainly wishes he was living life on the outside, Todd Chrisley believes the real reason he’s in prison is because a higher power wants him there. According to an Oct. 11 report from TMZ, Todd thinks his imprisonment is “actually a mission from God to help others.”
